i think this thing really snuck up on him, and he found himself trapped. Life started out so promising; an honorable discharge from the USMC, a good government job, a cute nubile young wife, a home in Sterling, and along came three kids. The American dream.

But, slowly and insidiously, something went terribly wrong. While two of the children were happy and normal, the remaining one was an oddball. The wife kept saying 'It's nothing. It's just a stage. He'll outgrow it. You'll see.' Tootguy, against his every instinct, supported his wife, although it seemed that the problem child was becoming more deviant with every passing year.

Unfortunately, the wife, in her desperation, became increasingly shrill in her insistence that nothing was wrong with the child - she just couldn't bare the thought that anything was defective. She ultimately became fanatical in this belief. Fearing for his marriage and the integrity of the family, poor old tootguy felt that he had no choice but to side with his wife.

By the time that the son's erratic behavior, or his wife's delusions, could no longer be ignored, it was too late to take action. Tootguy was irreversibly committed to standing with them.

William always had a violent streak and suddenly turned on his elderly father in a vicious knife attack.

I started this thread 3 1/2 years ago, way back when tootguy was still alive FFS, and wonder whether miz has accomplished a damn thing since. I'm no great achiever myself, but in the interegnum I have been promoted at work, hired a contractor to rebuild my garage, taken a few business courses at college, and begun taking piano lessons. Has miz done a god damn thing?

He's been a busy little beaver, spending entire days baiting his nemesis eesh -- and molesting kids in his spare time...
