They got word of a planned terror attack. Don't buy this malarky about some system wide maintenance issue. You don't shut down an entire subway system all at once for 29 hours because of some bad wiring.

Not a conspiracy nut myself but I'd have to agree with him that shutting down the entire Metro system mid-week to do a "cable inspection" doesn't really make a lot of sense on its face.

up, and are now trying to disguise the emergency fix as 'routine maintenance'.

Or, maybe they discovered the rats have ebola, and the place needs an emergency scrub down.

The cables could be checked over 3 consecutive nights. Shut it down at 9 and reopen at 5 am. Seems a bit fishy to me. Not to mention it could have been done ever sense the last cables had a issue. Why were they all not checked immediately after?

Why the entire system as well? Keep the above ground running such as vienna and reston to east falls church and have convoys of buses and vice versa system wide?

Not to mention that it would take a much larger effort to do it all at once in one 24hr period. Which I kind of doubt that they even have the qualified manpower to do in that amount of time.
