My niece in Seattle Washington adopted a dog nobody wanted last year. She's a 3 legged Australian Border Collie (the dog, not my niece). When I was visiting for Thanksgiving I got to know this dog and she's quite a sweetheart and having only 3 legs didn't seem to slow her down and she runs and plays like any 4 legged dog. We don't know how she lost her leg but it certainly doesn't appear to have been removed by a vet. More like someone or something ripped it off.
While I was there, she developed a condition that turned one of her eyes red and cloudy. Turns out she has a detached retina and the eye needs to be removed. You can tell it's painful and bothering her.
My niece set up a GoFundMe page:

If any of the good people of FU ( I know there are a few left ) could find it in their heart to help out my niece with a few bucks, it would sure make her Christmas a little more merry. The total needed is $1200. We have raised approx $850 ( I donated $300 ) so we are getting close! The surgery is scheduled for tomorrow Friday.
I know this place can often be a callous and cruel place when it comes to dealing with fellow humans, but I think most of us have a soft spot for animals in need. Make your heart warm and help out this cute puppy dog. No donation is too small. Thank you one and all and Merry Christmas.
