Job fake work reference

I want to quit my job. But I don't think my boss wants me to quit. So today I went i this job and they asked me for four reference I give then random names and numbers and uah do you think they check reference ?

Yes they usually check one or two. Kiss that job goodbye. Some place also run credit checks and look at your social media sites.

Rookie mistake. Start looking for some other place to fill out an application.

If they ask for reference just say you don't want your current employer to know your leaving.

In order to manufacture references...purchase 3 burner phones and give them to your 3 most reliable friends. Discuss the nature of your work and the substance of the "reference" checks in advance so everybody knows what the score is. Put those 3 burner numbers on your resume as your references...and let your prospective employer make their calls.

My question though is why you don't have people you could use as references who are not connected with your current employer.
