Thats because all the cheap food is toxic shit. Processed subsidised cornzilla. It all really did start with subsidized corn. Kept the price of meat low under Nixon. Now we are totally dependent on GMO corn for everything. No crop diversity means massive starvation when blight hits this one strain of corn and soy.
