As GM is rapidly disapearing I would like to ask why they seemed to fight what might of helped in the acleeration and horsepower and better gas milage. Ther was the myth of the V8 that got real good gas milage. For some reason they would do everything except what the cars really needed give them dual exhaust. GM even came out with a 454 in thier SS truck. Now there was a V8 that could of used dual exhaust but no. They came out with viechles that looked like they had dual exhaust, fake dual exhaust, I wonder why in the last twenty years they didn't have more dual exhaust. Let that motor breath.

They were too busy spending their money on hookers and blow instead of R&D.

Yes Rod, it was a liberal conspiracy to deny GM dual exhaust.

Or could it have more to do with the design of the body and cost of adding a second exhaust line. 1 extra muffler, 1 extra catalytic converter, extra tubing. And there was no room under the car to run dual w/o it hanging down too low. Also for a chevy 350 a single 3in exhaust was more than adequate to minimize back pressure. Even with an aftermarket 3.5" single exhaust, the MPG was still 15mpg.

. So in the end, it was the lack of Dual exhaust that brought down GM, Not the dinosaur like management style, mis-spent money or the Union costs.

I really hope you were just trolling.
