All of this information came from CBS. lmao. I've been reading about this for some time now and their is no smoking gun, it is just CBS and mother jones casting bait into a swimming pool with nothing in it. Nice try.

I get it now. Bill O'Reilly (can't stand him anyway) did it once 30 years ago so Williams shouldn't be suspended or fired for what he did over and over--even after being told to knock it off by his superiors. Right.

Here are the O'Reilly quotes:
“I’ve reported on the ground in active war zones from El Salvador to the Falklands”
“Having survived a combat situation in Argentina during the Falklands war, I know that life-and-death decisions are made in a flash”
“I was in a situation one time, in a war zone in Argentina, in the Falklands…”
None of these statements are true. Buenos Ares was not an "active war zone" by any definition. It was not a "combat situation". He was never in "the Falklands".
Spin it however you want, he was lying.
All you right wingers, who otherwise go nuts when a media guy makes a mistake about firearms, military matters, etc., why aren't you holding him to the actual definitions of "war zone" and "combat" in his statements?

I only wish I could have been in O'Reilly's type of war zones. But to O'Reilly's embellishment of facts, I would have at least had taller tales.
