TEHRAN, Iran – An American journalist jailed in Iran has been convicted of spying and sentenced to eight years in prison, her lawyer said Saturday, dashing any hopes for her quick release.

The verdict was the first time Iran has found an American journalist guilty of spying, and it was unclear how the conviction would affect recent overtures by the Obama administration for better relations and engagement with Washington's longtime adversary

I believe she is guilty of being hot.

Seriously. Look at her! She's in a fucking burka and it's like, "Hey. I'm kinda horny."

Er, that's kind of a "but-her-face" kind of pose. Bag it and tag it, I say.

I have no sympathy for her whatsoever. Her press credentials were revoked in 2006 and she stayed in Iran, she kept filming, she kept taking pictures, and she kept sending them back to the U.S.

HELLO! Iran and the U.S. aren't exactly friendly. This is really nothing more than a political stunt that Iran will use to get something they want, but technically speaking, she *was* spying. This isn't a case of some idiot tourists having sex on a seemingly deserted beach in Dubai. This is a lady who broke the laws, selectively applied they may be, of a hostile country.

Enjoy that prison until we have to give something up to get your dumb ass out of prison.

I find her Guilty of being HOT! (slams gavel) case closed! Now someone get Ross Perot on the Horn and have him fund a rescue tactical mission to insert some special ops folks and get on that mission. Surely the Iranian guards can be bribed with Absinthe.
