I knew a guy who got his arm chopped off while attending Notre Dame. it was one of then worst things you could imagine.

Well, they do have one of the toughest schedules in the nation this year. If they can beat the teams they are currently ranked ahead of who are on their schedule and only lose to FSU and maybe USC, they'd probably get a January Bowl game.

I predict a bowl game, a high ranking bowl game for ND this year. Most def beat USC. Sad to know they wont be playing Michigan in the foreseeable future

Realistically, they look like 8-3, or maybe 9-2, neither of which is anything to be ashamed about. Considering they have Florida State, USC, Louisville, Stanford, Arizona State and North Carolina to play (all in the top 25) they will be looking good at 8-3. Compare their schedule to say, Nebraska.
