USD (US dollar) dropped and everything else dropped too. USD will recover and then everything else will follow. so the best investment is to keep your money in USD. the europeans should have invested in USD when the euro was way more valuable.

An ever increasing deficit is going to be the main driver of the value of the dollar. What with the billions of dollars being spent on Iraq/Afghanistan...and every bail out program that comes along. The long term health of the US dollar is not good. The world wide investment panic is a US generated panic...the world's econonomy's despite their pledges of "hanging together" are as I type distancing themsleves from future shocks in the US economy. Im afraid to bust any bubbles but the US is not the long term place to be.
