I can't believe that we're having a debate about whether the Tea Party is racist. Of course they are racist! Hell, even Glen Beck at one point admitted they're racist. Do you see any black people or ethnic or religious minorities in there (beyond the usual tokens - and Ted doesn't count; he's a good ol boy)? Hell, do you even see any Jews? And do you think Ted Cruz' comments about Nigerians were a slip of the tongue? No, he was playing to his audience.
And you know as well as I do that Wasserman Schultz was laughing her ass off at Grayson's comments before she issued the obligatory 'come together' speech. Nice touch with the bat.
Regarding that poster, thank you for pointing out that the tribeman is from Papau New Guinea. I did not know that - nor did anyone else, especially the Tea Partiers. Of course, we all thought that guy was African! That's the whole point of that poster. Do I really need to explain that?
