It just dawned on me, with summer about to end, that I didn't hear or see any ice cream trucks this year. No stupid, warbling music (she'll be coming round the mountain is my fav), no bells ringing and none of that weird smell only ice cream trucks seem to have.

Did anyone hear see or hear any ice cream trucks?

There's still one that drives around Pimmit Hills in the evenings. He threw me an angry gesture a few weeks ago after I blew my horn at him for sitting in the middle of the street like a dumbass.

There are some seriously creepy looking men that drive those ice cream trucks.

I heard one once or twice in the SPRING, not so much this summer though..odd. Probably because kids don't play outside anymore. You never see kids riding bikes or anything at all..it's kinda creepy when you think about it.

The ice cream man in my neighborhood plays Helter Skelter.

I have seen them in the pool in Bristow maybe one or twice.

They used to cruise through my neighborhood in burke almost every day, maybe more than once on the weekends. This year, nada.

The one in Reston plays the theme from the Sting.

The summer has been so cold, that even kids don't want ice cream .
