"Ignorance gone to seed"

The gun-control law ... banned the sale of magazines that hold more than seven rounds of ammunition. But ... seven-round magazines are not widely manufactured...

As a result, [Cuomo] said, he and legislative leaders were negotiating language that would continue to allow the sale of magazines holding up to 10 rounds, but still forbid New Yorkers from loading more than 7 rounds into those magazines.

Coming soon? In related news, Bloomberg has announced new legislation that 24 once sodas cups will continue to be allowed but still forbid New Yorkers from filling more than 16 ounces of soda into those cups.

They ban magazines that hold more than seven rounds, but can you still buy a revolver that holds more than that in the cylinder? S & W makes an eight round .357 Magnum revolver, and of course there are plenty of ten round .22 revolvers out there. Seems like a gray area.
