Oliver Stone's W.

I can't imagine why anyone would want to see this, much less pay to produce it. Oliver Stone actually made some great movies back in the day, including Platoon, Wall Street, Talk Radio and Born on the Fourth of July. But this thing looks like a piece of camp to rival "Mommie Dearest" (or maybe it is "Daddy Dearest")

In any case, I hope this piece of crap doesn't do to Elizabeth Banks' career what Mommie Dearest did to Faye Dunaway's.

It looks like an SNL sketch. As in, it would be fine with just that. I can't image sitting through two hours of that.

Knowing Stone, it is probably closer to four hours.

too bad, I wanted it to be good, but like most bush portrayals, this one is just a parody. Pgens is dead-on with the SNL comment.

Casting looks awful too, MUCH better actors available, timothy bottoms should be legally required to portray bush in all fictional portrayals. He doesn't even have to do it up dumb like on "that's my bush". An James Cromwell as Sr.... I have to wonder if they just felt compelled to have cromwell in the role because he does all that other opulent bullshit... he was a terrible choice to play prince philip in "the queen" also.

The public, in general, is hard to predict.

I don't have a problem with most of the casting. However, Scott Glenn as Rumsfeld and Richard Dreyfus as Dick Cheney? REALLY???

Dreyfus is a great actor, and although he's alot shorter and bares no resemblance whatsoever to Cheney, I'm betting he could pull it off.
