There is some good news in the world

JOHANNESBURG — Police in South Africa say they shot dead seven suspected robbers and wounded nine others in a botched theft at an armored car company. Capt. Paul Ramaloko of the South African Police Service said Sunday that officers got a tip that the thieves wanted to rob a Protea Coin depot in Robertville, a suburb west of Johannesburg. A gunfight began Saturday night as officers tried to arrest the suspects. Ramaloko says no officers were injured in the shooting. He said they recovered firearms from the suspected robbers at the depot.

Violent crime remains common in South Africa, as unemployment remains high and options few for the nation's poor. Mass police shootings often occur as officers confront heavily armed criminal gangs.

It sounds like it was really a police ambush:

"Capt. Paul Ramaloko of the South African Police Service said Sunday that officers got a tip that the thieves wanted to rob a Protea Coin depot"

"Mass police shootings often occur as officers confront heavily armed criminal gangs."

The cops finally had a chance to play the game on their terms. Good for them.

When gubmints become bankrupt and stop passing out the free shyt (free your behind; they stole that wealth from you, ultimately at gunpoint) that's coming here.

Many are on gubmint's payroll, directly or indirectly. If your largest or only customer is the gubmint you are on their payroll whether or not you have a GS number. When those checks stop, how are ya gonna feed yourself?

Just when you "rather be dependent" statists no longer have bad boys a phone call away to defend you.

When that day arrives what's your plan when "Please, sir, don't hurt us" doesn't work? What are you gonna do if they WANT TO hurt you? Begging isn't a plan.

Go back to your plug in drug. Everything's fine. It can't happen here (sic). And when it does, somebody else will be the adult for you.

Anyone remember the video of the police shooting the massive onslaught of protesting miners? It looked like something out of Resident Evil 5.

Ending apartheid wasn't about fixing the system of oppression, it was merely about letting black people take part in that system.
