Did anyone go to "Celebrate Fairfax"?

If so, was it any good? I heard the musicians they have are usually really stinky.

Like they had Okay Go or something this year. Yuck! Anyways, did they have lots of sweeet tea?

Yeah, I was a little disappointed in the musical talent this year. But then I kept reminding myself that it could be much worse... Meade Skelton could have been performing.

Plus, it was pretty cool when Bowling for Soup invited Trickie and I out for drinks after their show. We had an awesome time.

Yeah they even dedicated the song "The Girl That All the Bad Guys Want" to me!!! I was thrilled. I haven't been so excited since the BeeGees!!!

I volunteered at the festival, I had a good time doing that but the rest of it is just the same old tired crap.. I recall the original CF was not such a CF. They need to do a reinvention of the current one like the current one was a reinvention of the old county fair... it was updated to reflect times and technology, and they need to take that a step further.

ORLY?

I think Meade Skelton would of added some much needed flavor to the event. Not only is he a talented performer, but hes very gracious too.

I find it ironic, though. As cosmopolitan as the DC area tries to seem, put it at a fair, and they're really just hicks from the sticks.

Yes, Meade Skelton is so gracious that when he isn't invited to play at a county fair, he insults both the musicians that did perform and the citizens of the county. I think that a Meadism is appropriate here: yer just jealous!
