now there's a philanthropist!

I'm reading about the story about the recently deceased Steward R. Mott on page B6 of the Washington Post where he appears with an elephant and a donkey and the beautiful Ann Zill who appears like she can hardly believe she's there or it's all real. Stewart appears grinning as if trying to hold his drink out of camera. For the party guests were equipped with sashes that said in French "Shame on those who think badly of this". What a larger then life Kurt Vonigut/ Mr. Rosewater type of character. It's almost like life imitating fiction. It says in the eighties he drastically reduced his profile becoming interested in exposing government corruption and protecting constitutional rights. What a character!
