Changes to Poplar Tree Road

The horse farm that is next to St. Timothy's (entrance at Lees Corner and Poplar Tree) was recently sold and they're putting like 30 million dollar homes in its place.

In doing so they're supposedly altering Poplar Tree Road to get rid of that crucial 15mph curve right after Orr Drive.

I hear this from the Carver's who live RIGHT on that curve. They've had like ten people end up in their front yard over the years from taking the curve too fast. To this day the father still doesn't allow anyone to hang out in their front yard.

Just thought I'd share some "insider" information.

15MPH? In high school we used to see how fast we could take it. I think we did it at 50-55 one time. In a Honda Civic DX.

Good times.

Hahaha. Definitely. I always take it at full speed in my Eclipse but I guess a lot of people can't drive, or steer, or something. That used to be THE spot for cops in the afternoon. I guess they've moved on to bigger and better things now.

Good. I hate that turn. It's fucking suicidal. Esp in the rain, at night. ugh.

30 million dollar homes.. WOWZAS. Do I smell a blunt ride?

But yea that turn is pretty fun, I rock it out at about 50 or so myself but the difference with us 'new age' highschoolers is that we have SUV's now so I will probably tip over one of these days.

Also- when its icy out its fun to sit at the turn and watch idiots like myself a-slippin' and a-slidin' taking it too fast. Ahh the perks of suburban life.

Some chick in my graduating class at CHS died there a few years ago, the car she was riding in flipped.
