A 17-year-old Sterling woman and her toddler daughter who have been missing for more than a week were found today safe in Cary, N.C.

Glenda Ester Reyes-Hernandez and her 2-year-old daughter, Kimberly, were found about 8:30 a.m. by members of the Cary Police Department, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

Reyes-Hernandez reportedly left her Sanderson Drive home in Sterling with her daughter on April 26, the teen’s mother told deputies.

The Loudoun Sheriff’s Office worked with local authorities in North Carolina on the case.

The agencies are working to reunite the teen mother and her child with family.
