Beaverdam Resevoir closed?

I understand that Beaverdam Reservoir was recently purchased by Loudoun County from the city of Fairfax. I have heard it is closed to the public. Does anyone know for sure? I like to fish and kayak there.

Technically yes, except for the high school rowing teams.

The signs that used list the rules have been replaced by signs saying you can't fish, boat, row, camp, hike, swim, etc. Effective April 22, 2014

I didn't notice the sign until today when I went to check. I was out there earlier in the week and never paid any attention to it since at a glance it looked like the old sign. Several people were out kayaking and fishing.

I have heard the reservoir may be back open. Any truth?
