After a long and courageous battle with COPD, Mom died yesterday. She passed only minutes before I got to her home, and I was able to spend several hours holding her hand and telling her that I love her before a medical professional was able to brave the icy roads to declare her dead.

Abuse is abuse, whether it’s physical, sexual, emotional, or relational, and Malm should be held accountable. And when the abuse is directed at someone known to be dying, Bob Malm, Grace Episcopal and the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia deserve public condemnation.
