my friend was in an accident....
Posted by: zenzer0 ()

My friend was in an accident recently.
the kid has his own faults for being drunk and high.
but he's still my friend so i'm trying to 'track' him down

his step//bio//family has been no help because they're too busy pointing fingers at each other blaming people for who's fault it was
so we haven't gotten much information from them

what i'd like to know.

what happened at the accident
where he might be (we think he's in FFX inova)
how to get past visiting rights and what not...

yeah any help is greaaaaaaatly appreciated

I guess it's possible they have him over at Dominion Hospital if they arrested him and discovered he was a drug abuser and he is a minorr? Have you actually called a few hospitals to see if he's there?

The dude sounds like a lost cause. Lemme ask you this.....is hea good enough friend that you would leave him in your house alone and not worry about what he might sell for his crack habit?

If you are looking for "help" in finding your friend, then you need to do some ground work, and provide additional information.

If, on the other hand, you are looking for someone to tell you how to find someone, someone who is possibly under "administrative control"(police) or in a hospital (protected by HIPAA), you should *probably* go to PI school.

was it the impact with the windshield or with the ground that caused him to fall into a comatose state?

What they are probably saying is that he's having problems that are probably being reenforced by his circle of friends. They probably (rightly or wrongly, don't know) view you as part of the kid's problem. So I doubt they are going to cooperate with allowing you to communicate with him until they sort out who are really the good friends and who aren't his friends.

an excellent point and all seeing as how zenzer0 is his dealer. :)
i have to admit though, such loyalty to ones addicts is admirable... once you get passed that whole "it's actually hurting him" part.

zenzer0,
i dont mean to be mean but you may want to cut your losses with this guy unless you plan on helping him cleanup and that you yourself are not in the same boat as himself. if you are in the same boat, perhaps this will give you something to chew on. however, if both of you only do this on occasion, you should definately cut your losses as he would definately be classified as a dumbass.

The real issue here is the sexual abuse. Whereas one might hurt one's self using drugs, sexual abuse always has a victim.

It appears you are indeed out of the loop with reading skills. I saw (and posted) lots of ideas and info that was dang helpful for having been given very little info.

Rosamunde, not all of us have second sight like you seem to be claiming to have. Read his fucking post again and point out the following things that would be required to offer "help" finding a person when people are otherwise not in the know:

-name of person
-person's age
-person's general area of residence or exact address
-description of said person, vital personal features, tats, etc.

That's really it. If you want help finding someone you have to tell people their info. Zenzer just came in an started talking randomly, he couldn't have been seriously expecting help from us.

It's like me running up to airport information and saying: "I need to find a guy I know, he's wearing a shirt and may have boarded a plane, page me if you find him" and then turning around and running off.

Depending on what happened you may be able to get the police report. You'll have to find out which agency wrote up the accident report and go to their HQ and pay a fee. If he's a juvenile you probably can't get it. I don't know what the privacy laws are in VA, maybe only the parties in the report can get it. THis won't tell you everything but will be a start. I've gotten police reports in CA before but I was one of the parties in the report and had to show my id. I assume that was a privacy law but VA may be different.

you did that too? i thought i was the only one. i did find the guy he was wearing a shirt but nobody really helped me find him. people can be real jerks.

What I should have said to information is:

"he's wearing a shirt and NO PANTS"

that sounds like a few guys I know, come to think of it
