While the National Harbor project is in BFE and it is next to the ghetto, the fact is it has the one thing the new DC Convention Center doesn't...hotel rooms.

Gaylord isn't stupid. They have obviously done their research. If you think about it, that part of PG county probably provided the most amount of commercially available land for the least amount of money along the Potomac River. With the Wilson Bridge being expanded and the use of water taxis into the city, I think it could be a big hit.

If you have ever been to a major convention, how much time do you really spend sightseeing in the city? One or two days/nights? I'm sure the National Harbor utilizes water taxis and shuttles to accommodate that demand.
