Why is Freedom Hill (off Old Courthouse Road) called that? I've heard it's because of a "Freed African-American Community" that lived in the area during the 1840's but no one can prove this....any thoughts?

I went to Freedom Hill Elementary way back in the early 1970's. Back then they told us it had to do with the freed slaves that lived in the area. That's all I got, oh, and this link.
