I'm not a big bbq fan so others here probably will know better places, but I think the ribs at Old Glory in Georgetown are great. I also had good ribs and bbq at a place called Dixie Bones somewhere down toward Potomac Mills.

Willards BBQ is good for a casual environment. For a nice sit down meal try any of the Great American Restaurants--Sweetwater, Coastal Flats etc. They make good ribs.

Coastal Flats makes ribs?

I've seriously never seen that on the menu at the Tysons location.

Wasn't a big fan of Dixie Bones. Did like the baby back at Mike's Grill in Springfield.

Dixie Bones is awesome!!!! They are down 123 until you hit Rt.1, make a right and go 2 blocks, they are on the right in the CVS parking lot center.

Speaking of BBQ, anyne see the trailer set up in the old Bob's Big Boy parking lot in Springfield (Plaza)? What is going on there, is it legal?????

I agree with the "Mike's" recommendation -- very good ribs there. (A few weeks back they had a beef ribs special. They were fantastic.)

Yeah, I've been wondering about the trailer in Springfield. I don't smell any "food smells" as I drive by but they must be cooking something

I drive by the trailer almost every day and most afternoons, the guys are out there!

It smells like BBQ. Do they need a permit or running HOT water to pass a health inspection?

Yeah, it's on the menu, I just checked the website. I think I am too addicted to that Sauteed Shrimp & Creamy Grits dish to have ever even noticed they have ribs :)

I really freekin love that place.

Coastal does have good grub. But either go there at 1) 11:00 am or 2) 4:00 pm or be prepared to wait a fucking eternity for a table. They don't do reservations, and their call ahead system gets abused.

JJ Deli at the Herndon Golf Course. I didn't believe it until I tried it. That's some damn good BBQ.
