Why is it illegal to take pics of a car crash? today I was going to take a pic of a deadly car crash and the cop said he was going to take my phone if I TOOK Another picture

It is illegal to remain on scene of a crash if told to leave by police. You're phone could be seized since you took pictures due to evidentary value. It's not illegal to take pictures of a crash, but you're a sick son of a bitch to take them

what accident are you referring to ? was it the one over on 50 in Arlington ? If so it wasn't a fatal accident.

Next time tell them you are taking pictures of police activity during the performance of their duties. They can't stop you from doing that anymore.

It's not illegal, however, they can TAKE the camera because the images you take of the scene are now considered evidence.

They can't take your camera, and would need a warrent to look at the pictures.
