What in the hell is a "Preservator of the Peace"? I live in Alexandria border line of Alexandria city but still belong(and pay my taxes ) at Fairfax County. I see this cop look a like vehicle with RED and YELLOW lights up top and then regular strobes around it. It is Black and white and it says "preservator of the peace" on it. I have always wondered what and who are they? I have just recently began to notice them.

In VA, it's just about any type of Private Security personnel. It could be the driver of an armoured truck or a PI or a Dog Handler or the guy who sits at the alarm console and waits for an alarm.

can a conservator of the peace pull you over? I have seen of them hanging out with alexandria city police at mcdonalds by landmark and I believe he was wearing a vest with police sighns on it, I could be wrong. Normally I see them out late at night
