got off the 95 exit and saw them from the bridge all the way to fairfax city on 123. most of them were around the fire station at lorton. most of them were dressed up, so im guessing a funeral or memorial. had firetrucks, ffx county cops, sheriffs. some had trailers that had honor guard.

Probably for the fireman who died a few days ago

Anyways, I checked, and there is one waiting for what will probably be traffic control for the procession

Once Fairfax One was overhead, you could hear the rumble from about 2 doz. FCPD motorcycles. Followed by a firetruck draped with black ribbons and a hearse, about 40 other police and fire dept. vehicles passed in a rain-soaked procession.

One disrespectful driver turned from an uncontrolled intersection, right in the middle of the precision. They were quickly pulled out at the next intersection by FCPD.

It was quite a procession and scene! If you are near 123/95, it is probably going past you now, as it heads towards Quantico

Some of them had a sign up saying it was in memory of a fallen colleague. I passed through shortly before the procession.

Here are a couple pics I caught while working out, it was just down the street from my house. There was a huge procession of state vehicles, started with 20 cop bikes and was followed by dozens of rescue vehicles, including several fire trucks. Had never seen the giant flag between two ladder trucks and thought it was pretty cool to see
