Students are protesting by not buying school lunch in February.

I agree. FCPS students need to go on strike regarding this decision by FCPS official.

Zero tolerance for students and no consequences for FCPS employees who are out of control.

I believ civil disobedience must be the next step

You need to hit them where it hurts the most. Their pocket books!!!! It will force their hands to make a change that actually could improve your children's education. Money creates power, power creates corruption, corruption creates REVOLUTION!!!!

Think of all the ways you school district brings in money excluding taxes. This is the key, squeeze that revenue. Like any Politician their blood runs green from the corruption of the almighty dollar. Once their blood runs thin you will see change!

For everyone's info-look at the budget. Food service is a profitable business for FCPS.

If the kids at FCPS really did protest by not buying lunch-it would cripple them.

Good way to get their attention.

I would also recommend boycotting the PTSAs which are tools and extensions of the FCPS administration. Find out what percentage of dues and donations collected actually help the students. You will find out for the most part that your school's PTSA officers are as arrogant as the administration.

In our case, at Navy ES, $180,000 of our donations were embezzled by our PTA President, Litsa Mattfeld. Please make sure that someone is watching over your school's funds. We were not diligent and our students and teachers paid the price. Be careful and diligent. Just a suggestion. Lots of ugly things go on within FCPS and the PTA's that you don't hear about.

I looked at Navy's website and now it has a PTO. I guess that means your parents can have a voice that differs from the party line of the FCCPTA.
