Anyone want to volunteer which station has the worst metro passengers? Which ones grouse the most? Which ones complain and hog the doors? Etc.?

Bye

Anyone want to volunteer which station has the worst metro passengers?

1- Foggy Bottom on a weekend night

2- U St/Cardozo after the Black Cat lets out a big show

3- Smithsonian Station on a weekend day

4- Green line south of L'Enfant or north of Mt. Vernon Square late at nite

5- Summer days in Rosslyn when there's some kind of mechanical failure delay

Summer in Rosslyn? Try any day in Rosslyn. Surliest bunch of pricks I've ever seen. Most all of them seem to be govermnent (DOD) types because they're always looking like they're in a foul mood after being ordered around by some commissioned officer. Either that or they're cubical dwellers at Boeing.

Of all the places where I've seen shoving matches and fights owing to crowded trains, Rosslyn is where I have seen at least 75 percent of them.

That's also the place where folks will jam themselves into the car and refuse to get out of the door - knowing that the a$$hole train operator will take the train out of service.

I have only seen that shoving happen one time, in the thousand+ times I've been in that station.

It does get pretty surly though when the station is full and the trains are late. There's a weird smell going on down there too when it's a hot summer day.

I haven't been on metro in a while, there's fighting on the trains and platforms now due to train crowding? How common is it?

Not common at all. Not in any way.

I log alot of miles on it and I think it's great except for the price.

Worst platform to be on during evening rush hours is the lower level of Gallery Place-Chinatown waiting for a yellow line train to Huntington. There's one train maybe every 10 minutes and it's almost a pushing match to see who can be the first one on.

My vote goes to Balston. It is funny in the morning to three or four ofthem rush onto the train, got about 10 feet, stop, look around the train to see if there are any empty seats (there never are) while they are blocking incoming traffic behind them from coming aboard or forcing the incoming traffic to block the doors. The driver then says "Please stand clear of the doors, usually three or four times because people are still trying to get on while the ones who just boarded WONT MOVE OUT OF THE F-ing way!
