The Depot is the place to go.

Priced out Carpet and tile in November. Empire was the best price.

House Of Interiors 5252 Port Royal Rd, Springfield VA 22151 (703) 321-8600
supplied and installed all of our flooring. They gave us the best price and did a great job on the install. (Their warehouse is down the road from Kilroys)

(I am in no way affiliated with HoI)

My neighbors have their old carpeting on the curb. I can snatch it and hold it in my garage for ya.

If you want a local business with a few locations, try Clawes Carpet. Pretty well run, owners used to work for Home Depot, honest prices.

I go to the Depot all the time, but for our carpet, it was clear that they were way overpriced. Where they hit you is on the installation, lots of extra charges that jack up the price. Also the turn around time is poor, and accountability is an issue. Shop some of your local stores for this, negotiate with them on price, and make an informed decision. Big box stores are not always the best choice.

I used to work at a flooring retail store for the past 6 years, and i can tell you that Home Depot, Lowes, Empire, Carpet One will cost you more money almost 99% of the time than a mom and pop retail store. I am still in the business but do wholesale now in the DC metro area, where do you live? I can recommend you some good stores to go to.

how about a recommendation for a carpet place near Fair Oaks. There is Home Depot there, but it sounds like they might not be the best place to go.

You can have mine for free. It was installed only last month, but I need to replace it since I got cum all over it during one of my neighborhood sex orgies.

Yea don't go to home depot at the end of the day they will end up costing you more. Umm around Fair Oaks there is:

Clawes Carpet which is in fairfax and centreville, they tend to have more higher end stuff at there store.

NOVA Flooring in Chantilly, they buy things in bulk so you can prob get a good price there if you get what they have in stock.

Elegant Floors in Chantilly and FFX Station would prob be your cheapest option without giving up on quality.

There are many places where you can get carpets and rugs. Also, you must be well known about the types of rugs.. But before buying you must focus on certain points regarding the rugs like the size, shape, color, pattern and price.. Deciding all these points previously will make your selection easy and better.. No matter where you buy the carpet, make sure you keep the sample until yours is installed. The standard scam is to make you think you are getting the high density carpet when in fact they are installing the low density carpet. Color and style are the same, just many less fibers per square inch. Do not let them install it until you are 100% sure it is the correct stuff you were sold. They have many lies they will tell.

I third the recommendation for Clawes Carpet. They're locally owned, which is nice and offer financing through GE. I used them recently even though they weren't the cheapest estimate I received, but I felt like the guy who came out was the most knowledgable and responsive to emails.
