Carribbean Grill in Arlington is very good. The owner of Crisp and Juicy has a bad attitude. He lost my business years ago.

Edy's Chicken & Steak on Rt 7. Best charcoal rotisserie chicken there is, and I've tried them all (Sardi's, Pollo Primero, Super Pollo, El Pollo Rico).

Not sure how Costco or BJs can do it, but I can get a pretty decent whole roasted chicken for $5. And they're goooooooood.

If you're not a member or nearby, I think Giant has two roasted chickens for $10 on Friday nights. They're not bad, but not as big as the ones at Costco.

+1 on Carribbean Grill, although I don't have a problem with C&J.

I get the chicken at Giant all the time. That and a tub of salad from the salad bar make a killer meal.

Effing delicious, their green sauce is amazing!

Super Chicken in Falls Church - right next to Fox's Music (on Rt. 29). Their rotisserie rotates over wood embers to cook the marinated chicken. The green sauce (spicy) or the yellow (mayonaise and mustard mixed) are great for dipping. Also, some yucca on the side makes it all the better.

The chickens from Wegman's, Giant and Costco are OK, but not nearly as flavorful as the Super Chicken. They also have a location in Manassas, near the Potbelly sandwich shop, too.

It looks like I need to try Guapos, too. That sounds like good stuff.

Whole Food's rotisserie chicken is really good, but more expensive than other stores--I only get it when they have specials on it

Wegman's Kosher - little more expensive than regular $4.99 but worth it

Cholito Chicken in Chantilly is beast!!!!!! Edys chicken used to be good but now it's burnt, there fries fall apart easily and there mayonnaise sauce is so watery. Check out this place! It's in Chantilly next to the Kmart!

Is Kenny Roger's even around anymore? I do agree with Newman, they made a strong bird. How they struggled while Boston Market stuck around, I'll never know.

If you are curious to see the current state of Kenny Rogers, here is an article from this week!

The KRR was extremely popular (I lived in NY), but I think management took a turn or something, because the chicken became inedible, leading to its close. However I definitely agree that Boston Market should have gone down, they are beyond filthy restaurants. There is one by the Kmart in Fairfax and I cannot imagine the cleanliness issues there.

Re: best rotisserie chicken

Boston Market chicken is generic. The rest of the entrees...turkey and ham...simply taste like shit. The sides aren't very good, either. Kenny Rogers was light years ahead of Boston Market, but it is easy to mismanage a restaurant, especially a restaurant chain that grew as fast as KRR. Too bad, because they really had a good formula.
