Robbery Spree in Centreville

Seems like a string of car break-ins have been occurring around the neighborhoods at Braddock/Stone Road.

How hard is it to setup a neighborhood crime watch?

If I just happen to be in my bushes at 3am when someone is breaking into my car on my property, and I just happen to have a gun on me...Can I blow them into tomorrow?

Nah, in Virginia you can't shoot them for just breaking into your car. As for the neighborhood watch you might want to google "Neighborhood Watch" and include the area you live in. I found a few for Centreville, but wasn't sure which one would be the closest for you.

Make sure to slip a knife or gun into his hand AFTER you shoot 'em. But watch out, I'll bet the family tries to sue you.

You CERTainly could use a CERT team in your neighborhood!

Have you spoken to your local police about it? Usually they'll have a unit or two drive through your neighborhood if these sort of activities are going on. Especially since Centreville has been so active as of late.

Where are you getting your information about any significant increase in car break-ins?

Below is the entire month of May *reported* police incidents within a mile radius of the intersection of Braddock/Stone. I have no idea what it takes for an "incident" to show up on this report...

Shoot them and drag them into your house. Can't be charged with anything.
