Sean Taylor in Critical Condition

He was shot last night in a home invasion in Florida. I heard it was his leg but I also heard its his groin. Massive blood loss and fighting for his life right now =\

Goodluck to him

He should pull through. I've spoken with Bubba and he has the inside scoop. A tragedy indeed, but he should pull through and be in the lineup next week

Something tells me there was no "home invasion." I think this guy was hanging out with a bunch of punks, f-king around with one of the guns he shouldn't own and shot himself by accident (or one of his "homies" did it).

It's not like this guy hasn't been running with the wrong crowd and doing stupid shit for four years.

I herd from a reliable source it was an ex-girlfriend who had a key entered his bedroom and shot him in bed.( 911 call was leaked to the A.P.) You konw how vinditcive these type of women can get when their money train leaves town. He most likely will never play football again.

Look, I can understand if you're a fan of the guy, but to call him the greatest safety of all time is ridiculous. Ever hear of a guy named Ronnie Lott?

Where are all the concealed permit holders? Shouldn't they be posting saying this would of never happened if Taylor would of been packing?

Officers were sent to Taylor's home at about 1:45 a.m. after his girlfriend called 911 and said he was shot in his lower body, Lt. Nancy Perez said. Taylor had missed the last two games because of a knee injury and was at home recuperating. Taylor was airlifted to the hospital.

Investigators were still interviewing the girlfriend and other relatives who were in the home to try to determine what happened, Perez said. No arrests have been made.

"It could have been a possible burglary; it could have been a possible robbery," Perez said. "It has not been confirmed as yet."

Sharpstein said Taylor's girlfriend told him the couple was awakened by loud noises, and Taylor grabbed a machete he keeps in the bedroom for protection. Someone then broke through the bedroom door and fired two shots, one missing and one hitting Taylor, the lawyer said.

"It was clearly a burglary, an armed burglary," Sharpstein said, adding nothing appeared to have been stolen.

The shooting happened at a home Taylor bought two years ago in the Miami suburb of Palmetto Bay. The player is in his fourth season with the Redskins after playing at the University of Miami, where he was an All-American in 2003. Despite his injury, he is tied for the NFC lead with five interceptions.

In Ashburn, Va., Redskins owner Dan Snyder said he was headed to Miami on his private plane, joined by running back Clinton Portis, vice president of football operations Vinny Cerrato and trainer Bubba Tyer.

Some "armed robbery." The dude busts in. Shoots Taylor and then takes off without stealing anything? Sounds like a botched hit, if you ask me.

Does Taylor owe someone money (gambling)? Did one of his homies cap someone?

As I said before, I don't believe this is a simple home invasion gone wrong. Thieves don't typically run into a bedroom and open fire when they are discovered. They usually run.

Burglars are like snakes, they run if they feel they can get away. They shoot if thats what they need to do get away, such as cornered with a machete or a gun pointed at them.

Machete? What is he ex MS-13?

You do not need a concealed permit to have a gun in your own home. I think he has some arrests for gun offenses so he may not be able to legally own one anyway.

This is all planned so Gibbs doesn't have to answer questions about the loss last weekend and there is an excuse for future losses.

All that is missing from this story is a couple of members of the Harlem Globetrotters.

I hope they catch the people behind this. He was a great player and from what I hear a great person.

I have a feeling he was targeted because of his past.

This just made my flu worse =\

Who cares about some nigger that runs up and down a field?
Hopefully, he survives, but who gives a fuck? There's a lot more important things to worry about than some football nigger.
