Ariel Atom Rides

I have an Ariel Atom 3, Supercharged @ 300hp being built and delivered.

I am considering doing a rental business.

How much would you pay to rent a fully loaded track spec Ariel Atom that is street legal here in Va.

How much would you pay to ride in one for an hour?

Thanks in advance,

Jeremy Clarkson Impersonator.

1) you're an asshole
2) words cannot describe how interested I would be. At the same time though I have never seen an opportunity like this and wouldnt have any idea what would be a fair offer (and dont want to insult you with a lowballed offer).
3) If you do get this together send me an email and im sure we can work something out --> dthompson325@ymail.com
4) you're still an asshole

In the UK they do this.. http://atomhire.co.uk

I will keep interested parties informed. Delivery eta is mid-march with it being legal to drive in Va by mid-april.

Personally I don't do rides. I drive. I would love to see a track rental program. That aside...

Where are you proposing to give these rides for hire? On the road or on the track? What are your driving credentials? Have you factored in a shit load of insurance?

I ask these questions because the track-day history books are loaded with ass hats with more money than driving ability and common sense. I'm not suggesting you fit this description but these are the questions that would run through my mind before handing over the cabbage and signing a liability waiver.

It seems that partnering up with an organized event such as a NASA track day or with a for-profit organization such as Track Daze might have some potential. However, I'm afraid that it might not be break even and allow for re-cooping the expense of the car. Now, if you're looking for a tax loss, that changes things.

I'm more interested in renting a Campagna T Rex.

A track rental program already exists at VIR. TMI AutoTech, the North American manufacturer of the Atom is located at VIR.

They run the Ariel Atom Experience and if you have the squid to cover the liability deposit, I highly recommend it! You can't do better then a ride from Mark Swain the VP of Marketing and track demon!

I think it depends on the client, but if the client just wanted the experience I would consider a few options. (Skyline, Greenway West, multi-hour? Tail of the dragon (sub-note: I am aware of the police presence and drops on these roads)).
Track visit for the ODR drag strip.

Where would you drive this open cockpit beast?

I have looked into the insurance costs and did not purchase the car to be profitable. I am, however, looking for tax easements.

Regarding track qualifcations: We can get into this when I am more willing to give self-identifying details, but assume, a track regular.

Assuming as well, that you were satisfied with the quals, whats the price point that gets you reaching for your wallet?

I checked before purchasing the Atom. Apparently the T-Rex is not street legal.

Ariel Atom 3 spec'd < 80k

Ariel Atom v8 (which, no one owns in N. America yet) > 200k
