There were at least 15 fire and rescue and air ambulances and ambulances etc. etc. at Miller Heights Road and Waples Mill...but no mention of a fire or a problem in the paper or on the news. We were delayed at least 20 minutes trying to turn around in this mess...

Fatal Crash in Oakton

A 27-year-old Ranson, West Virginia man died today as a result of injuries he sustained in a T-bone crash on Thursday, September 20, around 9:30 p.m. Joel Crary was a passenger in a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon that was headed west on Oakton Road. The driver of the Hyundai, a 22-year-old Aldie, Virginia man, crossed over the double yellow lines while negotiating a curve near Heatherland Drive. He drove into the path of a 2004 Ford Escape driven by a 44-year-old Oakton man. The Ford struck the Hyundai in the passenger side.

Crary was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital and succumbed to his injuries on Friday, September 21 at 5:48 a.m. The drivers of each vehicle were also transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The investigation has determined that speed was a factor, alcohol was not. No charges have been placed against the driver of the Hyundai at this time.

Hey Moron

If that were YOUR family member, you would WANT them to send everything they had if it meant it might save your loved one's life. Think about it.

How was it a t-bone? He'd have to cross the yellow lines AND be turned sideways.
