speedometer calibration sites

Does anyone know of any places in the Northern Virginia (Fairfax area) that do speedometer calibrations? Not necessarily 'dyno-testing' with a speedometer readout, but official calibrations... A friend of mine got a wreckless driving ticket and the lawyer insisted on getting this checked, so I thought I wouldask...

There's a place near Fairfax circle behind where the old Lone Star Steakhouse used to be (Fire & Ice, I believe is there now). I don't know the name of the shop, but it's right next to the Townhome Contemporary Furniture store. -§

I called up one place today but they dont do it for 4WD/AWD cars, which i have. I have seen the equipment, 2 pairs of rolelrs in the ground and you put the car on them and then get the speed up and it mesures it.

Why cant they just jack up the back end?

Did you guys know that some carmakers MAY deliberately set up their speedos to read high? Makes your warranty run out quicker!

Looks like Honda got caught a while back.

It's not like your odometer goes backwards if you drive in reverse. Think about it... how would a speed sensor be able to tell what direction you are going?
