Use the search function, this topic comes up on here regularly.

Someone needs to create a wiki page for this...

All the "good" tint shops I know of, are in Prince Wm. County.

I used to have this one fella tint my cars, over two decades worth of cars! He went strictly comercial (buldings) now and in his old shop, is a place called the Tint Shoppe (on Rt.1 across from Checkers Burgers about 1.5 miles s. of Rt 123) They actually get the tint work from the wheel/tire place behind the Potomac Mills Mall (near IKEA) and do a nice job. 98% good, they are WAY Better than any others I have seen/used personally.

If you have framed windows, ask how close to the top edge they tint. Mine are less than 1/8" from the top. Micro edges cost more, and may peel.

Also, if you have black dots around parts of your rear glass, be advised your tint will look terrible if that area isn't sanded away. They will do this right if you ask, no gurantees though they will want to do it - it akes a LONG TIME.

Does this help?

Thanks, I'll check it out! :)

When you said that they'll sand away the black dots, do you mean the black dots are completely removed? (or do just just sand it smooth so the tint will stick better?)

Thanks again!

They have to sand them off or there will be air bubbles. By the way if your tinter doesn't check it with a laser tint meter and you actually see the reading, (Over 50% for front and over 35% for back.) then he's gonna end up costing you money in tickets.

Nothing says ghetto better than window tinting on a car.

not really.. now.. if the car is ghetto.. tinting the windows is like ghetto squared...

some cars are stylish and deserve a little bit of tint.. not as far as the law lets you get it.. but a little bit..

If you live in a hot climate like LA or Florida than yes, but other than that I think tinting around NOVA looks ghetto. The purple tinting certainly has to go.

Clean and waxed is where it's at. (And FYI- I don't drive your normal soccer Mom or trip to the grocery store vehicle.)

Not a sermon, just my opinion.

LOL, I figured there was no way u could figure out what year it was. Looks like it has some small modifications that make it impossible to figure out the year.

I meant a window tint chain store...

Can you imagine what kind of window tint job that Jiffy Lube will do?
They probably use crazy glue to make the tint stick. Or just color your
windows with black Sharpie markers....
