Small town in North Western VA opts out of Civil fees. Challenging in courts right to enforce own traffic offenses.

Ha! That's awesome.

Makes sense though, considering that's where I first heard about the fees, long before it became a general issue. One of the Front Royal Town Councilmen is a lawyer and put out a flyer about it to people in the area, detailing the whole thing and warning everyone about the consequences. This was months ago, now.

The town counsel "tabled" the concept over the weekend.

It looks like we are going to have to wait for someone to challenge it through normal due process.
