There is a reason why and it just came to me. He was a Fairfax City Officer I do believe until recent time. I had an encounter with him this evening at Blake Lane & Lee Hwy where I was asked for ID while at the 7-11. He stated I was loitering while I was finishing my cigarette under the NO Loitering Sign at the 7-11. I don't see how any officer can enforce a law regarding a posted sign on private property unless he or she believes criminal intent is afoot or is called by owner/employee of stated business. He neglected to ask the other man on the other end of 7-11 but for some reason but did seemed to profile me. I called the communication center and asked a simple question. IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD ? I received no direct answer and was asked if I would like to speak to a supervisor at his station. I stated I was going to the donut shop where I was promptly told that was out of our jurisdiction. I argued that one quickly as many officers frequent the donut shop at the circle from numerous local Police jurisdictions. A officer came out and talked with me for a brief time. A waste of resources and time for a simple question to be answered I must say.

I am raking in 95K/yr working in security in DC for Uncle Sam. Better deal than when I was a Sheriff deputy in Fairfax county.

Another fat fuck draining the public Treasury.

They're not out there getting the gangs, or going after other violent crime. They're staying very safe, handing out traffic tickets, and petty things. And taking up a lot of tax dollars. Pretty sad. Overpaid, and sad waste of resources. They're never there if you need them. But they're there if you're one inch over a dividing lane. Sad bunch of losers. Every one failed in school, or their favorite sport, and had to become a cop. Now they're all angry, and they take it out on society.

Seriously.... WTF is a "valor award"? This police militarization needs to stop. The Constitution prohibits standing armies... The helicopters with IR, body armor, select fire M4s, attack dogs and MRAPs have all been obtained ILLEGALLY. It's sickening. Not to mention "officer safety" protocols force them to treat their own people as enemy combatants until they have been fondled and molested from head to toe... These days when I see cops getting shot in the news, I think of Daniel Shaver and sweet, poetic, TRUE justice..

an officer who brought me downtown, when i challenge him about his pay, complained to me continually about fx co gov not paying enough to keep his family fed

FAIRAFAX COUNTY GOV sought police from outside the area just before democrats gained control

they intently upped pay to attract officers from outside the area - and advertised it widely outside the area "for several years"

fx co gov got officers from democrat areas - the reason for the "near highest paid officers in the nation" in the 1990's is now clear

THEY WERE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO WOULD SEIZE PROPERTY AND NOT ASK QUESTIONS

$65,000 is not allot if you ask any democrat - they all expect $150,000 by retirement age
