3D Scanning & Printing....

Recently a friend of mine gave me some of his older vintage GI Joes since he's moving. My haul included the GI Joe HQ, the Whale, Skystryker, and Dragonfly, all in some degree of disarray and missing parts.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I do have a handheld 3D scanner, and access to a 3D printer--- as the community embraced a file-share of complete vehicles scans? or has it started yet? Scanning takes a while, and if parts are black, the one I have takes forever since I have to surface coat with a reflective spray or use flour to reduce the glare... but I'm curious if has been utilized?

the Macross community have done 3D printing for years. maybe I'm a bit slow to catch up to Joes.. but was curious.

thanks

Hey there! 3D scanning and printing is such a fascinating topic, isn't it? Have you heard about Smart Engines and their advanced scanning technologies? They specialize in scanning various types of documents, from ID cards and passports to bank cards and barcodes, using photos or real-time video streams. It's really impressive!
