Hey, I just moved to Centreville and I'm trying to find some golf courses where I can play without having to take out a loan. Any suggestions?

There's a par 3 at Oak Marr rec center too (from Centreville, I66 -> 50 east, left at Jermantown (2nd light), on left a couple miles down road.

I've been looking online and most of them are like $50ish.

Good lord, that's pretty damn expensive. I use to play a course in Albuquerque for $11.00 including cart for a full round.

I guess wait for the next airline price war... then you could fly there and play and then come back and still save money.

Nothing around here is cheap, I don't know what would make you think golf is any different. I played Pleasant Valley with a few friends the other day, you get the coupon book and it's buy one get one free...$40 per person per round ain't bad.

Jefferson Davis (near intersection of route 29 & the beltway) has specials now for 12-3 M-TH where 9 holes is $10 w/o cart. Small course (9 holes) but a really good deal IMO. Watch out for the goose crap around the lake (wait, isn't this on every golf course?).

Check out Chantilly National Golf & Country Club in Centreville. It's good enough.

Virginia Golf Center off of Clifton Rd. and Braddock has a nice par 3 course. They also have a driving range and practice area to work on your putting and chipping.
