Hm. An interesting idea. We put all of them in one place. "Concentrate" them in "camps," if you will.

Great, then we will all have to start cleaning bathrooms and picking up shit.

When you have a serious problem thats allowed to get worse and worse ,you can be sure that eventually a heavy handed solution will be applied,,,and the masses will go along because at a certain point they just want the problems to go away

How would internment camps be different from putting them in jail, which would happen before they were deported if ICE actually enforced the law?

I suppose the term "camps" implies leaving them there indefinitely and/or without trial, which would be totally unacceptable. But jail until trial and then until deportation if convicted is exactly where illegal immigrants should go. Not because they're not worthy to be around the rest of us or any such nonsense, but because that's what the law prescribes for lawbreakers.

Wow, 190.000 people last year? Conservative numbers show 575,650 make it over the border sucessfully every year without arrest. Take your stats and shove them.

I sit corrected. They are enforcing the law...some. Clearly it's not sufficient, because we still have many millions of illegal immigrants here in the US.

In either case, it doesn't address the question; other than the connotations of "camps", how would this be different from arresting them for their allegedly being in the country illegally?

Once Gitmo is emptied, send them there. Let them fill out forms requesting their own release and mail them to the Social Security Administration for timely processing.

At the same time, they can write home asking for money for transportation back to their homeland. If none is available, they can use their border crossing skills to enter Cuba, with its more caring government.

Why restrict internment camps to illegals? Why not go full on! Let's get rid of all brown people (cause they ain't real Amerkins), blacks, reds, basically, any color/race NOT Caucasian. Also, liberals and Democrats along with people who don't vote right and add those who tend to read and have opinions different from us. They we'll go after the gays, gay-like (you know, the ones we call fags, but not really sure), aggressive women (cause they gots to be lesbos). Asians, well, they seem to be smarter which means better jobs, jobs real Amerkins should have, so off to the camps again for them. Yeap, this is Kan heaven! Also, need to change the bible a bit. Seems a wee bit mushy on the hate part and we need to beef up the me and mine only part.

Yeah, except nobody (sane), including the person under discussion, has said anything like that or believes anything like it.

It's stupid rhetoric like this that kills useful discussion. Some liberals will say conservatives are just racists, sexists, homophobes, etc. And some conservatives say that liberals are just communists and anti-religion and want to control our lives.

As if listening to what each other is saying and actually thinking about it would somehow threaten their sacred cows.

First they go clog up the emergency rooms, and now you want to send them to internet camp? What is wrong with you people?!? Let them go to Starbucks for Wi-fi like everyone else.

That all depends on your point of view. Given their intended application as it pertains to this conversation I'd say the chambers/ovens are better. They're more cost-effective.
