For starters vacating housing and business space. If still here, taking your children out of public schools and putting into alternative education.

More practical small ways to defund Fairfax, it all adds up!
* Purchases in adjacent further out counties. Fairfax loss of 1% sales tax of the 6%. Also avoids plastic bag tax come January.
* Not pay optional user fees such as for:
- school ticket sales for sports games and plays.
- not take adult education classes.
- not ride public transportation.
- not participate in park and recreation center activities with fees.
There are others.

Many of the activities you are advocating not participating in are money losers, or are programs where expenditures are not affected by the number of people using them. The fewer people using them the better off for the County or the remaining users. The smart move is going the other way. Rather than decreasing use, increase it.

It makes no sense because you are ignorant. You assume the same rules apply to governments that apply to for profit companies. They don't.
In the private sector decisions on whether to provide a service are determined based on the profit that can be obtained from selling that service. For governments decisions on whether to provide a service and how much resources to devote to that service are based on the demands for that service, not from the revenue it generates. If the service does not generate enough fees to cover its cost, the shortfall is subsidized from general tax revenues. If revenues from a tax source such as BPOL or sales taxes drop the County government will make up the shortfall by raising real estate taxes. That dirt isn't going anywhere. What has been squeezing Fairfax County government the past 15 years hasn't been decreases in certain revenue sources, but instead has been the increasing demand for services.

But you pay less in real estate taxes if property values in your neighborhood go down more than the county tax rate increase as mine has. Once elderly relative caring for and living with me passes, out of this demoncrap county. For now only care about personal budget how much less pay in taxes. Only ways big change for more people is deport illrgals, someone like Trump great at this, Biden bad. Or crime gets so bad with result so many leaving, it goes bankrupt.
