Finally got around to listening to the BOAD show on Sirius and have to say I enjoyed it.

Brought me right back to the JFK days. Dukes taking shots at himself. Oscar running the show with a lack of Mike O'meara fake laughing. Both taking shots at Drab and kicking it over to him for input. No peanut gallery.

Doubt they get a gig from it. Sirius is notoriously cheap even though they have no "bench" for the day Howard retires. O&A are done now and the Opie Show is a shell of what that was.

I'd guess it is Dukes' contract with CBS. They probably let him do a one off show, but if he were to be a regular on the platform, it likely becomes more complicated.

Knowing SiriusXM, they are probably willing to pay basically nothing for the show. I think East Side Dave said he would get like $200 for doing the Davey Mac Sports Program once a week. Dr. Steve from Weird Medicine has quoted similar numbers.

BOAD would probably like to take the gig for the exposure and a shot at something bigger down the road, but it wouldn't replace Chad's WJFK gig by a long shot.

Yet Davey Mac and Weird Medicine do very good podcast numbers over at Riotcast...

They discussed this a bit more on reloaded and talked to bruce on mike a little. He claims to have some concerns about some personal job related stuff. But they worked it out so he would talk with zohan to try and cut or bleep out some things he has a problem with. He also took issue with some things that were said and they told him he would have a chance to refute things after they are able to actually put up the damn episode.
