Pedestrian Hit by Fair Oaks Mall

Pedestrian down by Fair Oaks Mall (Fair Lakes Pkway/Monument). Blood coming out of her head... Looked like she got hit pretty hard bc her pants were off. Anyone know what happened? No police on site at the time.

She should have seen Fair Oaks Mall coming. What an idiot to have stepped out infront of it. That thing can't exactly stop on a dime, ya know?

the mall hit the lady? Hoe did the lady get hit by the mall? It is indeed scary when a mall just picks itself up starts moving around and hitting people. If that mall hits any more pedestrians, I am never going there again. Was it jsut one section of the mall or the whole mall that hit her?

I think Fair Oaks mall drives a late model SUV.

I appreciate your taking time during this crisis to post a message about it here instead of finding help for this gal. You are a real hero in my book.

What was he supposed to do? Take on the mall by himself? Do you know how big a mall is? It would tear him apart. Bet you'd have run too. Those pointy glass elevators in there are sharp and would inflict some serious damage.

Yeah, this is the second one in as many weeks where someone sees a person or persons on the receiving end of an accident, with nobody on the scene and they keep driving past. Then they get on internet message boards to find out what happened. WTF? It's not like the person had a flat tire. I'll admit, my time is more important than anybody else's, but I would have to stop. My conscience wouldn't allow me not to.

EDIT: LOL at I'd Run's comments....the visual of having the mall come to life and tear a person apart...

I'm sure the first thing you do when you see an accident is log onto fairfaxundergound to ask what happend. EPIC fail -

If you had actually witnessed the accident, you should be there a) helping, and b) telling the police what you saw. EPIC fail -

If you witnessed and the person was still down with no help on the scene and you left to post here? FUCK YOU.

It hasn't been the same since people started leaving it for Tysons 1 following its "enhancements."

LOL Fair Oaks has always been the ugly sister to Tyson's.

I'm a little surprised at the fact that no one's commented on this yet...

Even something as big as a mall has to hit you pretty hard to knock your pants off!

But seriously, there's a bleeding, pantsless woman laying in the street, and you don't stop to help her out? What sort of d-bag are you?

Give it a few years, once the metro gets to tyson's, that place will go down hill. Pentagon City, Springfield, Tysons.

I don't know, Tyson's is nationally known, and the demographics that surround the mall won't let it go to shit.

Re: Pedestrian Hit by Fair Oaks Mall

Just think about it from Fair Oaks Mall's perspective. I mean, you have the Tysons twins down the road. Tysons II is the glitzier, glamorous twin. Tysons I has just had all of that work done on its upper deck (a real MILF - Mall I'd Like to Frequent).

On the other end of the Dulles corridor you have the Dulles Town Centre, which is young and vibrant. Then, you have the more worldly Pentagon City and the cheaper and easier Potomac Mills. I mean, Fair Oaks Mall has to look around and see it is going the way of those two tired old whores...the Springfield Mall and the Manassas Mall. No wonder Fair Oaks started hitting and de-panting pedestrians.

I think you are the first person to describe Dulles Town Center as vibrant. That place is a dump compared to Fair Oaks.

Okay. It might not be "vibrant" by virtue of the fact that nobody goes there. But I wouldn't call it "a dump." Especially compared to the dark and labyrinthine Fair Oaks.

Distance man, distance??? How far did she fly? 10, 20, 30 feet? It's tough to judge if this was a good hit or not without the number of feet.

Talking about Fair Oaks? No big/official food court, but the overall selection is way better than Tysons.

Proof?

Chik-fil-A.

Third floor Tysons food court isn't anything super to write about, except for maybe Five Guys. Downstairs one blows except for that bourbon chicken place.

This is not the wizard of oz and the building moved. But you should all have a disaster kit for tornadoes. And next week those supplies are tax free, so stock up. This is a public service announcement from me.

+1 Tyson's is pretty lame with the food selection.

Blessed are the murderous.
