Because the American legal caste doesn't wish to have accountability (this is known as "absolute immunity"). Law enforcement wants to be a part of this game but didn't quite get the same lack of accountability (they get "qualified immunity").
You see... it is "one system of justice for us and another system of justice for you".
It is the same reason why cameras are usually not allowed in court rooms.
I would also like to hear from this tax payer funded judge...
