Where can one get a good burger?

Looking for a bar/resto with a good (char)burger around the Fairfax area. Bonus points if the place has a good pint of Magners or Guiness. Last good burger I had was at Rams Head in Annapolis.

Foster's Grille in Vienna. They proudly boast themselves to be the "Home of the Charburger". Great burgers and hand-cut fries. They do have beer on tap, but I don't think Guinness is one of them, and I doubt they have cider on tap. It's usually the place I hit when I'm in the mood for a burger.

Re: Fosters. Thanks for the reply but I ate there once and wasn't that impressed. Give Rams Head Tavern a shot next time you're around Annapolis.

On another note, anyone serve anything larger then 1/2lb (one patty). Was in Seattle once and dropped by a place that had a 1lb burger. Then there's Dennys in PA: http://www.dennysbeerbarrelpub.com/

I went to see a band at Rams Head Live in Baltimore. We had dinner in the Rams Head Tavern. My date ordered the Ahi Tuna, insisted that I try it. Man, that stuff was awesome! So you might try the Ahi Tuna at Rams Head also.

Fuddruckers makes damn good burgers they're in Reston and Fairfax. Not sure about the beer though.

Ultimate BBQ Burger, 1/2 lb.
Topped with Georgia chopped pork, two strips of jalapeño bacon, cheddar cheese, and our signature Beam & Cola sauce.

I think PJ Skidoos has good burgers. I love their cheeseburgers.

Fuddrucker's burgers seem a little greasy to me.

Five Guys burgers are fried, though quite tasty. Also, Five Guys doesn't sell beer.

Foster's has a pretty good burger. As for beer, I don't believe they have Guiness, but the one I've been to does have Sam Adams on tap.

Unfort, you cannot get an authentic Guiness here in states. It is not the same Guiness that is available at any pub in Ireland. Your tastebuds will tell you that. As for burgers, most NVA restaurants will fuck it up.

The Fuddruckers in Tysons Corner caters to business hammocks. Just walk right in there and tell them you are going to set it up. If they don't understand what you are talking about, just shout louder and point. Tell them you are with Fairfax Underground and you carry a concealed weapon. The people that work there will eventually welcome you and your business hammock, they like that fuckin shit.

Try Buffalo Wing University? I'm pretty sure they have Guinness, and I know they have a decent burger... if you don't like it, try the wings =p.. Also, half off burgers 11-3 lunchtime on mondays

Was at University Wings last night. Didn't get the burger (had one for lunch in Balt) but I can give thumbs up on the wings. They had Guiness too!

There's a Checkers in Springfield mall...another on Rt 1 in Alexandria....and another in Woodbridge.

Chilis is good, but the damn thing is so big you can never finish it. Plus they load up the plate with fries too. Took it home to the dog and she had a hard time polishing it off.

I was never a fan of their menu, but Chili's really does have some good burgers. I love that mushroom swiss one.
