But the drivers manuals don't tell you to break the law, and the law is very clear when it comes to how close you can be to other vehicles with your high beams on. Ok everyone I would like to conclude your suspicions about me. I admit I am only angry at the world and have nothing better to do than "troll" this thread which is why Ive been doing this since april! I was riding my bike today (not even using my high beams), and when in slow traffic, I saw this obese guy in a old Plymouth Valiant angrily trying to turn the steering wheel to the left--into my path. Perhaps the car had manual steering, but he couldn't manage to turn the wheel far enough, and then he stalled the car.

I braked to a halt--easy to do, since the traffic was moving at about five miles an hour. "Sir...Sir, are you OK?" I asked, thinking that the obese driver might have been having a heart attack...he looked like someone has stuffed him behind the driver's seat with a shoehorn.

The guy was wearing emo eye makeup, and it was obvious that he'd been crying, with the eyeliner running down his face. "You blinded me with your high beams!" he shrieked, "I should cut right in front of you, you lame wad fagapuss salty sweaty balls gay marshmallow spic faggot!"

He then pulled out what looked like a broomstick and brandished it at me. "I bet you'd like to stick this right up my ass, wouldn't you? C'mon, I dare you to stick this beautiful varnished broomstick up my ass...please"

Taken aback, I just stared at him. When he realized that I had no intention of taking the proffered broomstick, he got even more enraged. After putting an asthma inhaler to his mouth, he started ranting again. "You know what I'm gonna do? I'm gonna put on my windshield washer and spray you...that's what I'm gonna do!"

This attempt to help someone wasn't working out. Time to leave and call the ppolice from a safe distance. As I pulled away, I looked in my mirrors, I saw the man's arms moving and the little car shaking. Then, a few dismal drops of fluid sprayed from the driver's window.

Yesterday when I rode, I flipped my high beams on after recalling the discussions here. Was I concerned about "stay beams on light"? No. Did anyone try to cut me off because they were blinded by said beams? Nope.

I have to say, I see more and more riders with lights on that pulse between high and low beam. I think that's a great idea. I'll be picking up one of those bulbs soon enough....
