The old white van speaker scam. White Chevy van with Maryland plates. They had a pitch that the speakers were leftover from an "installation" they did. They offered them to me at a really good deal. I said no way, they were both whiggers.

Wow that’s still a thing? I had a similar experience 20 plus years ago at the Fair City Mall.

Everything is old again! I am sure most scams are repeated every generation. The one that has always bothered me the most is the dudes rolling around selling meats out of a vehicle. Ya, I am going to buy something potentially deadly from some rando on the street and feed it to my family?

They all do the same thing...back of van, all frantic like...driving in traffic, and hey man, you gotta pull over...we got this deal...we gotta sell 'em now...great deal...

I guess it has, or else they wouldn't keep doing it, but how does the "skill" get passed down from generation to generation?

I remember this from the early 90's.

Duh!!! Everything old is new again. Except me, I'm just fucking old.

Everyone knew about this scam about 10 years ago, but after people stop talking about it, it returns. It's like an old joke the young uns have never heard before but was old 20 years ago. I'm glad it's not working today and people are skeptical.

I see the "van guys" selling speakers every year or so at strip malls in Virginia. It's amazing that this scam still works. I guess a sucker is born every minute.
